A Float Cum Boost Battery Charger is a type of battery charger designed to offer both float charging and boost charging functionalities. This dual-mode charging system is commonly used for maintaining and charging batteries in critical applications, such as DC Power Spplies , telecommunications, and backup power systems.

Key Features:

1. Boost Charging:

   • The charger provides a high current (boost) to the battery in the initial charging phase to quickly restore the battery to its full charge.
   • This is typically used when the battery is deeply discharged, allowing it to charge at a faster rate.
   • Boost mode charges the battery rapidly by supplying higher voltage until the battery reaches around 80–90% of its full capacity.

2. Float Charging:

   • Once the battery is nearly fully charged, the charger switches to the float mode, supplying a low, steady current that maintains the battery's full charge.
